Launch Lunch: Starting the Week

This is it! At 11am on Monday we’re launching Sustainability Week! Get down to the Walter Young Gardens and join us as we say a few words about the week, what to expect, and some of the great events we’ve got on! Fair Trade collective will be on hand with their Pop-Up Op-Shop and the Motorsport team will be showing off their electric racecar!

First 100 to join us people get a free vegan pasty from Penny’s Pasties - who said there’s no such thing as a free lunch?

Every industry has a role to play in shaping a sustainable future for all; come and hear from some of these growing industries and see what paths sustainability can take you down (hint: almost anywhere)

Oh and also; it is the official opening of the first ever student led Sustainability Week festival! So come and join us to hear what the week will hold!

Science Careers for a Sustainable Future

Interested in learning more about the sustainability of careers in science? Join three science experts to discuss how they got to their current position and how their current project contributes to a sustainable future for all, followed by a short Q&A session to answer any queries you might have. The federal election is right around the corner, so now is a great time to brush up on how to contact our local member about your concerns surrounding climate change and sustainability! Learn what it takes to put pen to paper so help influence positive change through our elected members!

Adelaide University Motorsport Team Showcase

Come and check out the largest change in its history; a transition to a fully electric race car, which was designed from the ground up by students of all disciplines in December 2018. The team consists of students from the University of Adelaide, and is open to all degrees and year levels.
